Chapter 3938 Reminder and Blood Prison

Chapter 3938 Reminder and Blood Prison

Sadness was about to overwhelm Shad's heart—

[Whoever stays home tonight, how about having them wear this outfit?]

She then suggested, and Xia De's eyes lit up:

“Good idea, I mean, now is not the time to think about this.”

"very beautiful"

Gina whispered, and the other two witches echoed her admiration. As for the skeleton in front of the sewing machine, this time it didn't just glance at it, but carefully examined the style of the clothing:

"Is it made of silk? It looks like high-end silk, and it certainly has an exotic feel. This is the material world we live in now. What region's clothing style is this?"

It then asked Shad, but Shad shook his head:

"I dreamt about it."

Did you dream about it?

The skeleton offered no comment; it withdrew its gaze and continued pedaling to complete its garment-making work.

"You may leave now. If you set off soon, you will reach the Forge of Life after passing through three more rooms. Outsiders, I am quite pleased with the style of clothing you have displayed. Apart from that gift, I will allow you to ask me one question, and I will answer it if I can."

The four exchanged glances, and finally the witches gestured for Shad to ask.

Since he could only ask one question, Shad abandoned questions like "Who are you?", "How much do you know about the [Leatherworks Guild]?", "Do you know how to cure the congenital disease caused by the [Jade Record]?", and "How to hatch the Moon Egg?", which were of no help in the current situation.

"I want to know, is there any chance for the four of us to return to the material world safely, normally, and without any aftereffects?"

The blood-red skeleton nodded as he worked:

"Of course there is a chance. I can't go into too much detail about this, but in short, this is the factory of some great man, an experimental place set up at the 'border' that combines the ingenuity of mortals with the anomalies of the material world."

Here, time, space, fate, and everything else are in chaos. Although the Great One needs you outsiders to facilitate the birth of new life, he is not always watching over this place. The possibility of you directly facing that Great One is extremely low.

Wanting to leave, or even wanting to gain something here, is all possible. Your fate depends solely on yourselves. This is a workshop of flesh and blood mutation, and the only reminder I can offer is—

The body can influence the soul, and the soul can influence the body. Perhaps you cannot control the mutations of your own flesh and blood, but as long as the soul always remembers its original form and does not accept the gifts bestowed upon it by mutation, the changes in the body are actually reversible.

It mentions "flesh and blood mutation," which is actually hinting at who the true master of this place is. As for its statement that the possibility of encountering a god is very low, Shad can only say that since he has appeared, that evil god cannot remain hidden forever.

"thanks for your help."

The old witch spoke first, but the skeleton ignored her. From the pile of clothes already sewn to its right, three dark red cloaks flew out and landed in front of the four:

"Wearing this can slightly suppress the degree of flesh distortion, but only slightly. Don't ask why there are four of you. I'm only giving three. I'm not trying to incite infighting among you. One of you doesn't need this at all."

Young man, you've been stained with that kind of blood and flesh, yet you haven't been corrupted by it but rather assimilated into it. I'm curious what you really are. I've said too much already. Good luck to you all.

After saying this, it fell silent. Shad bent down and picked up the three cloaks with extremely chaotic blasphemous elements. After confirming that there were no problems, he distributed them to the three witches:

Please accept my gratitude.

He said softly, and then the four of them did not intend to explore the room. Instead, they carefully followed the wall and circled around to the back of the skeleton before opening the door from which the crying was coming from and stepping through it together.

This is the third room after leaving the "operating room," and the dim red light here is dimmer than in any of the previous rooms.

The room was large, with two doors in the center of two opposite walls. Between the two doors was the only passageway in the room, and on either side of this passageway were rows of cells.

The cage doors were made of crimson metal, and the extremely dim lighting only illuminated the passageway between the cages. Inside the cages outside the passageway, there was a thick darkness that even "dark vision" could not penetrate.

"When I first arrived here, I appeared in a room like this—'Blood Prison Warehouse'."

The halfling witch spoke softly, but her voice trembled slightly:

"Don't be fooled by the fact that all the cell doors here are closed; they're not necessarily locked. There might be something 'alive' here. As soon as I left the cell where I first appeared, something came out from the side and caught up with me."

What's chasing you?

Shad asked, and Miss Lenore Bradwell lowered her voice even further:

“There are three of me. They are just as terrified as I am, and when they fight, they use the same power and even the same mechanical equipment as me. They all claim that they are me, and that the others are just distorted flesh and blood implanted with memories.”

Under other circumstances, I might not believe it, but at that time, everyone was attacking people other than themselves, and the other 'me's' actions were exactly the same as mine. Although I won in the end, the corpses of those three things looked no different from mine.

"When I met Linor, she was still doubting whether she was really herself."

Gina then spoke up:

"I had to persuade her for a long time before she finally believed that she was definitely the real Linole Bradvi."

Shad glanced again at the racial symbol above the halfling's head:

"Yes, I also believe Miss Bradley will be fine."

To enter the door on the opposite wall, they had to pass through all the cages in sequence. They were lucky to have avoided fighting in the first two rooms; all four knew they would definitely encounter enemies next.

Therefore, instead of rushing off, they prepared for battle once more. The witches donned their respective blood-red cloaks, the cloaks' uniqueness stemming entirely from their powerful blasphemous element. In the outside world, they certainly wouldn't use such things lightly, but here, the mutation of flesh and blood was clearly more threatening.

“I’ll be in front, Gina, you’ll be in the back. Mr. Hamilton, I’d like to trouble you to protect Linor and Iron Bucket.”

The old witch said, and then a series of witch's secret arts and magical buffs were applied to everyone. Shad's [Dark Moon Grace] restored some of their spirits, and now was not the time to save them.

"Get ready, let's go."

The old witch didn't walk too fast, but proceeded at a normal pace. The four of them almost held their breath. There were 30 cages in the room, and nothing happened when Ms. Gustave passed through the first eight cages, which were paired up in pairs.

But just as she approached the 9th and 10th cells, amidst a sharp, piercing roar that tore through the space, countless blood-red vines simultaneously erupted from both sides.

The vines weren't red plants, but pure flesh and blood. Shad wanted to help, but then he heard a voice behind him. Although the four were close together, the pink dragon maid at the back hadn't completely left the area containing the 7th and 8th cells.

As enemies appeared ahead, a pink, fleshy hand emerged from the door of cell number 8. A pocket watch was embedded in the center of the hand. With a sudden clench of its fist, the Dragon Witch froze in place, and then the pink, humanoid monster, seemingly stripped of its skin, emerged completely from the cell.

Its right hand was fitted with a pocket watch, and its left hand was fitted with a constantly rotating blue eyeball, while the eyes, nose, and ears on its head had all been gouged out.

Despite being surrounded by enemies, Shad still chose to summon raging crimson flames to help Lady Gustav fight against the blood-red vines. Because Gina's finger suddenly twitched, the moment the pink, fleshy humanoid figure revealed its body, the dragon maid, already protected by the "time bubble," pushed forward, and the exploding bubble immediately surrounded and exploded around the figure.

"Your time-stopping ability is no match for Head Maid Fiona!"

As she spoke, she continuously exhaled colorful bubbles from her mouth. A third of the bubbles remained around her, while the rest surged towards the still-exploding area behind her.

Suddenly, a beam of blue light pierced through the bubble and shot towards Gina, at which point the halfling girl, carrying a metal bucket in one hand, pointed:

"Witch's Secret Technique - Protective Flame!"

The fireball hovering above her head spun rapidly, transforming into a vortex of flame that absorbed the light emanating from the enemy's demonic eye in its left hand. However, the flame itself was also affected by the light; it broke free from the halfling witch's control and transformed into a hideous fiery face in mid-air before being blasted to pieces by other fireballs.

"Relic - Eye of the Ghost Face. Any solid or insolid surface hit by the light emitted from that eyeball will display a ghost face, which will then be controlled by the relic itself! Wasn't this thing supposed to have disappeared two thousand years ago?"

"Miss Linole Bradvi said incredulously, but Gina didn't respond because the dragon maid was still diligently blowing bubbles:

"Witch's Secret Technique - Bubble Mirror Wall!"

The exploding bubbles continued to burst around the monster, preventing it from getting close immediately. And when the beam of light from the Demon Eye reappeared, it was immediately reflected back by the layer of silver bubbles.

Although the silver bubbles later transformed into ghastly faces, the reflected blue light struck the monster's main body. Having withstood so many explosions, the monster, terrified, tried to tear away its writhing flesh while retreating back into its cage.

Clearly, this relic, the Mystic Eye, does not possess the characteristic of "not being able to act on its owner."

"We can't let it retreat, otherwise we'll have to be on guard against it attacking from behind again!"

As Gina spoke, she controlled the bubbles that had been hovering around her to quickly stick to the monster's body. At this point, only a third of its body remained outside the cage, but ironically, this third of its body became immobile after being touched by the bubbles.

This wasn't due to the power of time; the "space bubble" fixed its body to space like a nail. Without appropriate spatial means, the only way to break free was to forcibly pull space apart with force.
